Art & Architecture Tour
with Dr. Shelley Perlove
Istanbul and the Turkish Aegean
May 2-12, 2013 / May 16-26, 2013

For the discerning traveler with a passion for art, history, architecture, culture, and learning.
Professor of Art History at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, renowned expert in European art and architecture and exceptionally engaging lecturer, Dr. Shelley Perlove has successfully been leading premier tours of the great European cities for nearly 20 years. Each tour is personally developed by Dr. Perlove with attention given to the smallest detail. Tours include the must-see cultural attractions of each destination while allowing ample opportunity for independent exploration and shopping . Through her international contacts in the art world, Perlove’s tours often include private visits to the world’s top museums and cultural sites with access otherwise unavailable to tourists. Highlights from previous trips included private tours of the Louvre, Prado, Rembrandt House, Van Gogh Museum and Rubens House during hours the museums were closed to the public, providing access to these world-class exhibits without fighting crowds.
Audio headsets are provided for each traveler to ensure nothing is missed during lectures!
Hotel accommodations in each city are carefully chosen for their charm, ambiance, location, amenities and special characteristics such as a roof-top terrace or inner courtyard for socializing in the evenings.
