Brewery Tour of The Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is the No. 1 beer drinking nation in the world. At the Beer Museum in Plzen, artifacts and old brewing equipment tell the story of the Czechs’ most prized gastronomic achievement: Pilsner beer. But the history of beer in the modern Czech Republic, historically Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, goes back further than the creation of Pilsner Urquell in 1842. The most widely exported Czech Beer is Budvar (Budweiser in German), unrelated to the well-known American brew. Budvar continues in a 750 year-old tradition of brewing in České Budějovice.
